For several years, I've honed my skills by studying, crafting, and publishing personal essays containing cultural commentary.
My work has been published in The New York Times Modern Love, Michigan Quarterly Review, The Examined Life Journal, The Valparaiso Law Review, and Mothers Always Write.
After practicing law in Chicago, I began taking writing classes at the UChicago Graham School and through Stanford Continuing Studies. Post-COVID, I've taken online writing courses and have fallen in love with the essay and its meandering form.
When I'm not writing, my husband and I love exploring Chicago restaurants, hanging out with our pups, and pestering our three young adult kids.
